Patch the Pirate Club is an exciting program focusing on music and Bible lessons for children. Each month we have a new character lesson that is emphasized through daily devotions, songs, stories, Bible lessons, memory verses, and a short skit. The club meets Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm between September to June and is open for children in the 3rd-6th grades.

This year, the Lord has blessed our club with 20 sailors regularly attending our meetings!

We will continue to focus on God’s expectations to young Christians, including behavior and being a good helper. Prizes are awarded each night for our helper and we keep track who wins the nightly Sailor of the Night award. The sailor with the most “wins” gets an exciting prize at the end of the year.

Sailors always anticipate our “Spring Fun” program, which is an opportunity to have special and silly nights incorporated into the established program.

I am blessed to have my wife as my “first mate” by my side in teaching the children. As the Bible lesson, devotions, and play performance are reviewed, Mrs. Sandy helps sailors learn their song for the month as we as the memory verse.

We are always blessed with great helpers! Justin Daniel signed on for our Patch adventures, while other volunteers willing to jump on board as the year progresses. We’re always on the lookout for more helpers – anyone interested should let us know!

Patch Club provides a great opportunity for Christian fellowship with the young people of our church. It’s a fun atmosphere that promotes Christian beliefs and a Godly attitude. What a great opportunity the Lord has given to help meet the spiritual needs our church children!

Club verse – Colossians 3:16 “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.”
